Apple Pecan Galette

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Sheet of puff pastry
  • 2 Apples peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/3 Cup chopped pecans
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter unsalted
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp of brown sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 Large egg lightly beaten
  • 1 Tsp granulated sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. Place puff pastry onto baking sheet
  4. In a bowl, stir together apples, chopped pecans, melted butter, lemon juice, brown sugar and cinnamon
  5. Place filling in centre of puff pastry
  6. Fold borders overlapping each other to partially cover filling
  7. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with 1 tsp of granulated sugar
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes
