Portuguese Bread Pudding

Portuguese Bread PuddingThis super easy Portuguese Bread Pudding is sure to impress all your friends. All you need are 4 ingredients and an immersion blender.

Bread pudding, portugueseThis pudding is the perfect consistency….not too heavy but not as light as a custard.

Portuguese Bread Pudding

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 Portuguese buns ex: papo secos, that are a day old
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • Liquid caramel to coat pan

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Add a thick coat of caramel to the sides and bottom of pudding mould
  • Shred the buns
  • Blend all ingredients (including shredded buns) with immersion blender
  • Pour mixture into pudding mould
  • Place pudding mould in a large baking dish, deep enough to hold water
  • Place in oven
  • Pour hot water into baking dish until half of pudding mould is surrounded
  • Bake for approximately one hour in simmering water
  • Allow pudding to cool before removing from mould
