This super easy Portuguese Bread Pudding is sure to impress all your friends. All you need are 4 ingredients and an immersion blender.
This pudding is the perfect consistency….not too heavy but not as light as a custard.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Portuguese buns (ex: papo secos), that are a day old
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups milk
- Liquid caramel to coat pan
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Add a thick coat of caramel to the sides and bottom of pudding mould
- Shred the buns
- Blend all ingredients (including shredded buns) with immersion blender
- Pour mixture into pudding mould
- Place pudding mould in a large baking dish, deep enough to hold water
- Place in oven
- Pour hot water into baking dish until half of pudding mould is surrounded
- Bake for approximately one hour in simmering water
- Allow pudding to cool before removing from mould
