Portuguese Bread Pudding

Portuguese Bread PuddingThis super easy Portuguese Bread Pudding is sure to impress all your friends. All you need are 4 ingredients and an immersion blender.

Portuguese Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Portuguese buns (ex: papo secos), that are a day old
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • Liquid caramel to coat pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Add a thick coat of caramel to the sides and bottom of pudding mould
  3. Shred the buns
  4. Blend all ingredients (including shredded buns) with immersion blender
  5. Pour mixture into pudding mould
  6. Place pudding mould in a large baking dish, deep enough to hold water
  7. Place in oven
  8. Pour hot water into baking dish until half of pudding mould is surrounded
  9. Bake for approximately one hour in simmering water
  10. Allow pudding to cool before removing from mould
