It has been a busy month as we celebrated my daughters’ graduations …
(one from university and one from high school)
As a quick treat I put together this easy-to-make Galette
Ingredients
- 1 Sheet of puff pastry
- 2 Apples (peeled and thinly sliced)
- 1/3 Cup chopped pecans
- 2 Tbsp melted butter (unsalted)
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp of brown sugar
- 1/2 Tsp of cinnamon
- 1 Large egg (lightly beaten)
- 1 Tsp granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper
- Place puff pastry onto baking sheet
- In a bowl, stir together apples, chopped pecans, melted butter, lemon juice, brown sugar and cinnamon
- Place filling in centre of puff pastry
- Fold borders overlapping each other to partially cover filling
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with 1 tsp of granulated sugar
- Bake for 25-30 minutes
