I have been busy decorating the Farm house and that means many DIY projects.
It is a large house and art is expensive so I will have to be creative in order to decorate all those walls.
I have been inspired by framed flowers I have seen on Pinterest
I started with three gold plastic dollar store frames, some left over burlap and a stem with three faux flowers on it…
I first decided to bring out my trusty spray can but was not happy with the modern feel it gave the frames.
Since my Annie Sloan “old white” chalk paint was close by I decided…why not…
I love the look of the frames with the chalk paint …good-bye gold!!
I used spray adhesive to help hold down the burlap.
All three frames have different detail…
I cut the stem off the flower as close as possible so that it stays flat then used some hot glue to hold it in place…
I now have three of these to group together for a great display…
Thanks for coming by,
Linda it sounds like your kitchen is going to be fabulous! I find Annie Sloan paint very easy to use as well. good luck with your kitchen reno…I am in the middle of one myself.
Thanks for coming by,

Very creative! Looks very nice. I like the burlap as the background for your flower. I have some Anne Sloan that I bought to try out to see how I would like it, because I been hearing so much about it. I tried it out on a table and an old sewing machine table just to see how well it covers, and if it was easy to use. I am wanting to redo my kitchen cabinets and was thinking of using it. The color I picked is just a little darker then your pretty frame. I bought the antiquing paste too. This gives me some ideas on how to decorate my kitchen too. Probably get the decorating done before the kitchen redo (-; I even have some dollar store frames. Thank you for sharing.
